Krystal Marie Ball
Krystal Marie Balm (born on the 24th of November the 24th of November, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was a former political candidate and an anchor on television at MSNBC and a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post and former co-host of the show The Hill's Rising alongside Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball made it clear in May 2021 that they would be leaving the show to start their own project, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball is co-hosting with Kyle Kulinski on the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has appeared as a guest on networks like CNN, CNBC, Fox News as well as programs like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani as of 2020. Ball attributes her increased enthusiasm for politics to having an expectant mother in 2008's primaries. Additionally, she was a witness to the US election outcome while in Jordan. She was able to see how the election affected those in the country, and thus gained an appreciation of the worldwide impact US politics have on the lives of all people in the world. She was a Senior Fellow with the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee for Congress in Virginia's 1st district for the election of 2010, but lost to Republican incumbent Rob Wittman. She was co-host of The Cycle on MSNBC show The Cycle from June 2012 to July 2015. In May 2017, she created the People's House Project, a political action committee working on behalf of Democratic causes.
