The people and friends I met at Baylor definitely shaped and impacted my life. Dr. Karen Pope in the Art History department. My major classes were taught by Dr. Pope. I also went with her to Chicago and Paris to study art. Her art classes were an enjoyable experience, and a week does not go by that I don't recall her saying "Art History is a huge puzzle and we as historians look for the pieces that connect." My father was in the car business and I was required to work at the dealership each summer. One summer, I worked as a mechanic's assistant, changing brake pads and oil.
