Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United America. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran left the company within a short time. Corcoran was a participant in 12 episodes of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. She has been involved in 53 deals since February 2020. The largest was a $350,000 investment to provide 40% of Coverplay. Corcoran is the second of 10 children from a family of Irish Catholics who worked hard was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Her mother, Florence, was a household worker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. became her father throughout Corcoran's early years. Her family frequently relied on free food deliveries from a local grocer. Corcoran recalls her father as one who often drank too much and did her mother a disservice and condescension, particularly after he'd consumed alcohol. Corcoran was a troubled student throughout school. Corcoran later found out that she was dyslexic. Corcoran went to an Catholic elementary school in her community and started high school in St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran who was in the process of failing numerous classes in her first year of high school, was transferred to Leonia High School. There she received a grade of D.
